The Many Faces of Joe Goldberg: You Season 4 Guide to Disguise

Who doesn't love a good psychological thriller? The twists! The turns! The unreliable narrators! And You has all of those in spades, thanks to its charming lead, Joe Goldberg. He's a bookstore manager turned serial killer turned...professor? That's right, in the upcoming season 4 of You on Netflix, Joe (played by the dreamy Penn Badgley) has fled to London to start a new life and, as we see in the recently released poster, a new series of disguises to match.

But what could possibly drive him to switch up his look? Oh, just the small matter of faking his own death and framing his ex-wife for murder. No big deal.

Obsession: The Driving Force Behind 'You'

At the heart of You is, well, obsession. Joe is never one to let a little thing like "consent" or "the law" get in the way of his romantic pursuits, and his track record with relationships is...murderous, to say the least.

But in season 4, it seems like he may have finally met his match in the form of Marienne (played by the talented Tati Gabrielle). She's smart, she's independent, and she's not about to be blinded by Joe's charms. But will that be enough to keep her safe from his dangerous obsession? Only time (and a lot of stalking) will tell.

A Killer Cast

Joining Badgley and Gabrielle in the season 4 cast are a host of talented newcomers, including Charlotte Ritchie, Tilly Keeper, Lukas Gage, Ed Speleers, Niccy Lin, Aidan Cheng, and Ozioma Whenu. It's unclear how these characters will fit into the storyline, but we can't wait to see what kind of chaos they'll bring to Joe's already tumultuous life.

Disguise: The Art of Evading Justice

Of course, a big part of Joe's MO is evading justice, and that means constantly changing up his appearance and identity. As we see in the season 4 poster, Joe is fully embracing his new surroundings by donning a series of disguises as he navigates the streets of London.

But with the law hot on his tail and his past constantly threatening to catch up with him, how long can he keep up the charade? And will his new love interest, Marienne, be able to see through his many faces to the real Joe underneath?

Tune in to Find Out

Season 4 of You is being released in two parts, premiering on February 9 and March 9. So mark your calendars and get ready for more murder, romance, and disguise-wearing mayhem. Will Joe finally get his happily ever after, or will his past come back to haunt him? Will Marienne be the one to tame his wild heart, or will she succumb to his dangerous charms? Will the law finally catch up with him, or will he continue to evade justice? Tune in to find out.
